Bakker Belgium is strategic partner of Delhaize. We supply the distribution centres of the Belgian supermarket chains with a large percentage of their fresh fruits and vegetables. Our joint ambition is to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables for a healthier future.

We are currently working together with the new teams on the phased start-up of our new branch. The first deliveries from our location in Boom to the Delhaize distribution centres in Zellik and Londerzeel have already been made.

At Boom, we ensure that the products – grown and harvested with pride – are delivered to our customer in the right form and quantity at the right time. Our activities include commerce, marketing, quality assurance, logistics and transport scheduling, as well as support services. We have a warehouse of around 23,000 m2, where not only the distribution takes place, but also the banana ripening and, if necessary, the packing of products for delivery. Thanks to our expertise in sustainable supply chain management, we are not only a partner for Delhaize, but also for the Delhaize supplier network.

Bakker Belgium is part of Greenyard, a global market leader in fresh, fresh-frozen and prepared produce, flower and plant products. Bakker Belgium has sister establishments in the Netherlands (Ridderkerk) and the Czech Republic (Divisov), both of which respectively work for Albert Heijn and Albert.
